We take pride in working with premium-quality ingredients, such as the finest almadraba bluefin tuna sourced directly from Gadira, and the best seafood from the Motril fish market.
Founded on June 5, 1987, our restaurant was born from the effort and vision of its founder,
who, after working for years at Cafetería Jimmy, decided to start his own journey.
With dedication and perseverance, together with my mother, he opened a small 70-square-meter venue
opposite the newly opened Hotel Mónica.
The name “Jamaica” came from his desire to create a welcoming space filled with plants and life —
inspired by the idea of a warm, green island where guests could feel comfortable.
From the very beginning, the restaurant stood out for its traditional Spanish and Andalusian cuisine,
made with high-quality ingredients and a personal touch.
Over the years, the restaurant has grown and evolved, always preserving its
family spirit and commitment to good food.
Today, the second generation continues this legacy, bringing a more modern and contemporary vision
without losing the authenticity and values on which this story was built.
